The Online Bazaar is part of the Talent Carnival Online Festival Experience organized by Shimmy Shake (a project of Stichting New European Cultural Collaborations, hereafter called Shimmy Shake). Because it is not possible this year due to COVID-19 to organize a physical Talent Carnival, it was decided to organize the event online. Our wish is to reproduce the genuine experience even if online, so we have created an Online Bazaar. It functions as does the bazaar at previous Shimmy Shake events: we organize vendors and provide a place to sell their products. The customer, therefore, buys products DIRECTLY from the seller and NOT from Shimmy Shake. We only offer a platform where buying and selling find each other. We forward the order to the vendor, but we are a NOT party in the transaction.

Transactions and delivery are not our concern or responsibility. The customer can order a product via the Online Bazaar, but payment does not go through our website. Shimmy Shake forwards the order to the vendor who then contacts the buyer within three working days. The vendor draws up an invoice for the customer, makes payment arrangements and ships the product. The vendor may add shipping costs to the amount to be paid by the customer. Whether shipping costs must be paid, and the related costs, are detailed in the description of a product.

The sale of a product, therefore, takes place entirely between the customer and the vendor. Shimmy Shake is not a party to this agreement, nor liable for problems or incidents connected to the sales.

Shipping info and costs

Because customers can order from different vendors at the same time, and because vendors have different shipping rates, Shimmy Shake will not add shipping costs to the amount payable when you order via the Online Bazaar. The vendor may add the shipping costs to the total amount to be paid when they arrange the final order for the customer. It is clearly indicated in the product description whether a vendor charges shipping costs and an indication of the amount of the shipping costs. This indication is not binding and depends on the country from which the customer ordered. Shipping costs are calculated per vendor.

To emphasize it again: When the vendor then sends an invoice to the customer, they may add the shipping costs to the total amount due.

Return policy

For the return policy, check the seller's website.

Note, not all vendors are located in the Netherlands and therefore different rules for returns may apply. Products that are tailor-made for you usually cannot be returned.

Complaints policy

The vendor has the right to cancel an order at any time. However, the vendor must inform the customer about the reason for cancellation.

Privacy and sharing of data

When the customer an order via the Online Bazaar, Shimmy Shake collects personal data that is necessary to process the order. We will forward this information to the vendor of the product ordered so that they can handle and complete the order. After Shimmy Shake has received confirmation that the order has been processed correctly, these personal data will be removed from the Shimmy Shake archive.

When the costumer places an order through the Online Bazaar, the customer agrees to this personal data being shared with the vendor. Check the vendor's website for their privacy policies.
